Following the career path typical of fellow Engineers, he logged eight years in the high-tech industry in Silicon Valley, San Diego, and Phoenix. Circa 9/11 and the dot-com bust, he decided it was time to reboot his career.  He took his computer smarts and set sail on an unlikely second career: theatrical advertising. The next five years he received the best education he could have hoped for working at top Los Angeles advertising companies, whose clients included Warner Bros., Sony, Fox, Imagine Entertainment, Miramax, and New Line Cinema.  There he learned about the business and the craft of producing commercials for big-budget movies, such as, The Da Vinci Code, The Departed, Batman Begins, Terminator 3, and Mission Impossible III. Many of his colleagues worked on their own independent films outside of their day jobs. It was just a matter of time before he caught the independent film bug and began contributing on set in short productions, such as, “Dinner at Eight”, “Expendible”, and “Wonderview”. Today he continues to work as a freelance commercial and narrative editor and producer in Austin, TX.  Outside of paying gigs, he is always reading scripts, and on an occasion commits his time as editor to promising stories.
