Born and raised in San Antonio and a graduate from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Theatre and Dance.  ALeX Cogburn resides in Austin and has experience in both theatre and film working with directors in the University and the community.  With an acting and dance background he strives to encompass all aspects of performance art.  His love of physicality has kept him rooted in martial arts providing him with his current job teaching Tang Soo Do (a South Korean martial art) to kids in an after-school program at Aim and Focus Karate. 

ALeX plays the role of Leon in the Shades of Strange film “Brilliant”.  Leon is the nerdy best friend of the lead role Jared.  He displays the importance and value of having a true friend that will always be there and help in times of need.  Leon provides Jared comic relief and light heartedness to his demanding world and adds perspective to his brilliant and gifted mind.
