| Gary L. Wimmer ( http://imdb.com/name/nm2256473/) has been a professional musician all his life and an actor since 2002. He is known for his unique, and perhaps eccentric, method of bringing life to the characters he plays, which he attributes to his decades of meeting and dealing with all sorts of people in the USA and in Europe while performing as a musician. Gary is also a screenwriter, a sixth year Reader for the Austin Film Festival, and one of the founders of The Network Austin Mixer (http://www.networkaustinmixer.com/), an organization where people in the entertainment, film, music, and game industries meet, forward their careers, and share ideas and information. |
In BRILLIANT, Gary plays the role of Mr. Jefferson, a dedicated high school teacher who becomes frustrated by his students’ disrespect for him and their lack of interest in ‘Don Quixote’, which he considers the masterpiece of all literature. Gary’s distinctive take on Mr. Jefferson makes this character one that people will never forget.
